Activate the streaming device and link it to your Roku account

It is easy to activate your streaming device if you want to complete the activation steps are provided below.

To Activate the Streaming Device

  • Prepare the Roku streaming device

  • Connect the respective cables to the device ( HDMI cable to connect the streaming device to the Roku TV)

  • Insert the power cables to power up the device

  • Establish a good speed internet connection

Prepare Your Streaming Device

  • Power on the streaming device and always ensure that your device is in on state

Check the Cable Connections (HDMI and the Power Cables)

  • Ensure you connect the HDMI cable to the respective port of the streaming device and Roku TV

  • Connect one end of the power cable to the device and another end to the wall outlet

Wired and Wireless Connection Methods

  • To establish a good speed internet connection, you can use either wired or wireless method. If you prefer the wireless method, Roku device startup screen will prompt you to choose the name of the wireless network

  • As soon as you click on the wireless network, you will be prompted to provide the credentials. Always make sure you enter the right credentials

If it is a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable between the device and the Modem

After you complete the above steps, wait until the device automatically download the compatible software. Make sure that it is the latest version

Create a Roku Account

  • Go to the respective webpage and click on the link to create a Roku account. The page will prompt you to provide the required information

  • Press the submit button after you provide the necessary information

  • Sign in to the account. Make a note of the activation code that is visible on the screen

  • Enter the code and the device will be automatically linked to the Roku account.

Activation Errors

  • If you come across any activation code errors, use the star button on your remote to get a new code.

  • Check the Internet Connection

  • Restart your device and start the activation process from the beginning

  • Check the version of the device software
